Answer – Shehnai is different from a pungi. Shehnai is broader and longer than pungi. It has seven holes on the body. Its sound is more pleasant than pungi.

Answer – The shehnai was traditionally played at royal courts, temples and weddings because it is considered auspicious. Bismillah Khan changed just it just by producing new raags that were earlier thought to be beyond the shehnai’s scope. He raised its playing to classical level.
